If a 'Mechanic' pulls up in your driveway in a blue Kia Rio like above then consider this. Ask to see his public liablity insurance certificate, he has none. ask also to see his qualifications, he has only a brief history with Toyota as a technician, a technician is not a Mechanic, it's a termination that dealerships use to train someone to do small jobs like servicing etc, they add the term 'Factory trained Technician' when we have no factory training in Australia, only specific training undertaken by dealerships and visiting dealer brand trainers.
I say this because this so called trade qualified 'Mechanic' tried to come into business with me, but when I done a trade check, his name does not come up as trade qualified in any state. I also asked him to provide his own public liability insurance, and questioned to see some trade papers, he slid the key to the workshop under my door and vanished. later I found out he was on the dole and doing cash in hand work advertising as a mobile mechanic. I need to make the public aware that if he repairs or services your car on your property and if he damages your car or injures someone, you will most likely experience this vanishing act he seems so good at.
